Course About AI
This six-module Canvas course gives School City of Hobart students a consistent foundation for using artificial intelligence responsibly, appropriately, and in ways that support real learning. Students learn how artificial intelligence works, how to follow the Brickie AI Levels, how to use approved tools and prompts within an assigned level, how to protect private information, and how to document their thinking and decisions.
Throughout the course, students are expected to keep their own thinking at the center of the work. Artificial intelligence may provide explanation, feedback, or ideas when permitted, but it should help students become more capable, not more dependent. Students should be able to understand their work, explain their choices, and demonstrate their learning independently when completing Level 0 assignments and assessments.
The course reinforces the district expectation: Think It. Show It. Own It.
