Visitors and Volunteers

The School City of Hobart values volunteerism! Volunteering includes supervising, assisting, or working with any children in our school, i.e.
study trips, classroom parties, PTO activities, etc. to ensure a safe learning environment for all students, a volunteer approval process is in place.   

If you would like to volunteer at one of the schools in the district, you must complete an online volunteer application at least 2 weeks prior to volunteering. A valid, government-issued photo identification (driver's license/State I.D.) will be uploaded as part of the application process. Your identification will be scanned against state and national sex offender registries and a criminal history check will be conducted. You will be informed of your status regarding your volunteer application when the process is complete.

However, please know that once this process is complete, you must continue to bring in a valid ID every time you volunteer at any of our schools.

We must express to please make sure to come in at least 2 weeks prior to volunteering. If your criminal background check is not complete at the time of volunteering, you will not be allowed to volunteer.
