Summer Swim Lessons At Hobart Middle School!

    2022 School City of Hobart “LEARN-TO-SWIM LESSONS”  

    Pool Located at Hobart Middle School 36 E 8th Street 

     

    Registrations Begins:  May 1 through June 23, 2022 by Emailing Stacie at:  sgulley@hobart.k12.in.us  or call 219-942-8541  

    Please Include: 
    Swimmers First & Last Name, Age, Phone Number, Session Date(s), Class Time 
    Children must be 5 years old or older—children turning 5 in the summer are welcome 

    Payment due on first day of each session   Cost:  $50.00 each Child 

    *Limited sign-ups are available the first day of each session at the pool*

     *** Swim Lesson Instructors consists of 2 Experienced Certified WSI Teachers along with Experienced Certified Lifeguards that will teach skills from Beginner to Advanced Levels as well as Water Safety Skills.

    ***PLEASE LET STAFF KNOW OF ANY MEDICAL CONDITIONS WITH YOUR CHILD***  

    ***PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD USE HALLWAY RESTROOM BEFORE CLASS STARTS*** 

    Students meeting swim level requirements will be awarded Brickie Cards or Participant Ribbons on Awards Day. 

    3 TWO WEEK SESSIONS OF SWIM LESSONS WILL BE OFFERED  

    (Swimmers can register for 1 or 2 Sessions) 

                 Session 1 - June 6 – 16: (Monday through Thursday) 

                 Session 2 - June 20 – June 30: (Monday through Thursday) 

                 Session 3 – July 5 – July 14: (Tuesday through Friday week 1 & Monday through Thursday week 2) 

    CLASS TIMES PER DAY: 

    Class 1:                 8:00am   to 8:45am 

    Class 2:                 8:50am   to 9:35am 

    Class 3:                 9:40am   to 10:25am 

    Class 4:                 10:30am to 11:15   (Summer Lunch program will be served by Pool - 11AM - 12:30PM) 

    Class 5:                 11:20am to 12:05p (Summer Lunch program will be served by Pool  - 11AM - 12:30PM) 

     

    COST:  $50.00 per child per session—Cash or Checks Payable to School City of Hobart accepted  

    Swim Levels Taught at Every Class Time as well as Water Safety Skills: 

    Level 1: Brickie Starters 

    Level 2: Brickie Bobbers and Floaters 

    Level 3: Brickie Fin and Kickers 

    Level 4: Brickie Beginner Strokes 

    Level 5: Brickie Intermediate Strokes 

    Level 6: Brickie Advanced Strokes 

    Junior Life Saving Course: Class 1- 8:00-8:45 & Class 5-11:20-12:05               COST:  $50.00 

    Requirement:  Brickie Advanced Stroke Card or Skills Proficient   

    Class will consist of Lap & Timed Swims using all strokes & Practice Beginning Lifeguard Skills 

    Note:  We encourage swimmers to take this course to be ready for our 

     “LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSE” offered as a Semester Class at Hobart High School at age 15.    

    First Class Day: Pretest Swimmers & Form Swim Groups – Last Day Review Skills & Awards Day

    *Parents may watch the First and Last Days Only*

    *** BRING & TAKE YOUR CHILD IN THEIR SUIT.  PLEASE BRING A TOWEL***
