Welcome to the 5th Grade Ukulele Page!
I WANT TO BUY A UKULELE! NOW WHAT?
There are four main sizes of ukulele. In order of increasing size they are: soprano, concert, tenor and baritone. In 5th grade, we play the soprano ukulele.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I SPEND?
If you buy a very cheap ukulele, it's very likely to have problems which can make you frustrated and prevent you from playing. Also, I wouldn't recommend blowing hundreds and hundreds on your first uke. Save up for when you've played a while and have a better idea of what you want.
WHICH MODEL SHOULD I GET?
A better option is to buy a brand that has a better reputation and is more consistent in its ukuleles. Two good options for beginners are the Lanikai LU-21 and the Kala KA-S.
