The 2002 Marching Season
The Band's 2002 Latin Fall Field Show was entitled "South of the Border" which featured four songs called Corrado, Macho Nacho, Malagueña, and Sun Cat.

In the Wizard of Oz Parade on Saturday, September 21st, the band took third place in the overall marching category. Good Job, Band!!
On Saturday, September 14th, the HHS Band attended Purdue Band Day!! The band played several tunes at half time with about 24 other bands who were also chosen to perform in this event, including Purdue's All-American Marching Band. At this football game, Purdue defeated West Michigan University. GO BOILERS!!
On September 28th, the band attended two marching contests at Monticello and Lafayette. There, they performed their field show and received third place at Monticello and second place at Lafayette as well as the music caption award for Class B.
On Saturday, October 4th, the band attended the
District Marching Competition at Concord HS in Elkhart. The band received a
Second Division Rating and improved its overall score by approximately ten
points since the last competition. They were just several points short of going
to Regionals. Although they were not able to participate there, they went
as a band to watch. Congratulations, Band!!
