0143 - Blueprint Reading
Grades 10-12
This class provides the instructional material and practical application
necessary for the student to be able to use the "Language of
Industry." This course is recommended for all students interested in
any of the related industrial technology areas.

0144 - Small Engine Repair
Grades 10-12
This course covers the teardown and assembly of various types of two and
four cycle engines. Written work and assignment are also a part of this
course.

0145 - Auto Mechanics 1-2
Grades 11-12
This course covers the basic principles governing the internal combustion
engine. Various systems of the auto engine and its related parts are
covered. All students are required to work on cars (oil change, grease
job, etc.)
and operate shop equipment.

Grade 12
Prerequisite: "C" in 1-2, have a valid driver's license and
drive to school.
This is an in-depth study of automotive repair including tune-ups, brake
jobs, painting and body work.

0147 - Drafting 1-2
Grades 10-12
The areas of study include: sketching, lettering, drawing to scale,
orthographic projection, section, geometric construction, developments and
pictorial drawings. This course will also include a brief introduction to
Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).

Prerequisite: "C" in CAD
This is a continuation of Drafting 1-2 with greater emphasis on the finer
points of drafting.

Students will learn to read a set of house plans and the techniques and
procedures for drawing a set of house plans.

Grades 11-12
Pre-requisite: "B" in Drafting 1-2
This course emphasizes the present and future of drafting technology.
Similar drawing work as in Drafting 1-2 will be completed on the computer
with the addition of an advanced features such as 3-D.

This is a basic experimental course covering hand tools, portable and
machine woodworking operations, finishing and furniture construction.

Grades 10-12
Pre-requisite: "C" in Woodworking 1-2
This course offers the student advanced work and in-depth experiences in
woodworking including furniture and general construction, cabinet making,
lamination, plastic laminates, finishing and simple upholstering.

Grades 9-12
The student will complete specific projects in each of the following
areas: foundry, forging, sheet metal, bench metal, oxyacetylene welding
and arc welding.

0152 - Welding
Grades 11-12
This is an introductory course in welding focusing on safety, basic
skills, oxyacetylene welding, shielded metal-arc welding, gas shielded-arc
welding and some special areas. Students will understand welding symbols
and standards. Equipment set-up and proper use as well as practical
application will be stressed.
